The Smashing Pumpkins: The Rats in a Cage Tour

Billy Corgan brings the Pumpkins' arena show back to Denver on the Tuesday of Halloween week — the month's biggest rock ticket, in the gap between the weekend rush and Halloween itself. If arena rock is your lane, this is the night; everything else that week is either smaller or spookier.

Geese

The buzziest young guitar band in America, in the best-sounding room in Denver, on the Wednesday before Halloween. Geese shows have been selling out nationally all year — expect a young, loud, extremely online crowd and zero costume requirement.

Colorado Avalanche vs. New Jersey Devils

Midweek hockey is the connoisseur's Ball Arena night: easier tickets, same building, and the Avs at home in the heart of Halloween week. Pair it with a pregame stop in LoDo and you've built a full Wednesday.

Cypress Hill: Haunted Rocks

Cypress Hill and Method Man & Redman headline a golden-age summit with De La Soul, Digable Planets, Hieroglyphics, and The Pharcyde — six foundational acts on one bill, at Red Rocks, two nights before Halloween. Resale GA from ~$124 and climbing; this is the month's can't-duplicate concert.

The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert — Colorado Symphony
1245 Champa St, DPAC, Downtown. Thu Oct 29 & Fri Oct 30, 7:30 PM; Sat Oct 31, 2:00 PM matinee.

Tim Burton's film on the big screen with Danny Elfman's score played live by the Colorado Symphony — the rare Halloween event that works for superfans, families, and symphony people at once. The Saturday matinee is the smart stack: film at 2 PM, party by 9. High demand every year.

Ghosts in the Gardens
1007 York St, Cheesman Park. Wed Oct 28 – Sat Oct 31 (final nights). $29 members / $34 public. Ages 12+.

A self-guided after-dark walk through gardens built on Denver's first cemetery — 'The Boneyard' — with storytellers posted along the paths spinning the grounds' genuinely haunted history. Ninety minutes, no actors jumping out; the setting does the frightening.

The Ghosts of 1340 Penn
1340 Pennsylvania St, Capitol Hill. Wed Oct 28 – Sat Oct 31, entry times from 6:00 PM. $50 per person.

A ghost tour inside the Brown mansion itself: stories of those who died in the house, Victorian mourning rituals, a cocktail (or mocktail) included, and a resident ghost cat. A séance add-on runs Oct 29–31 at 10 PM ($115) for the fully committed.

Itchy-O: Hallowmass 2026
1902 Blake St, LoDo. Fri Oct 30 & Sat Oct 31; doors 7:00 PM, show 8:00 PM. All ages.

Denver's signature Halloween ritual: a 50-plus-member percussion-and-performance collective turning Hallowmass into a two-night 'rite of remembrance' — this year's theme is Mayat Ōm: Brief Creatures, opened both nights by the Stampede Singers Lakota drum group. Two-night passes online; fee-free hard tickets at local outlets. Nothing else in the city looks or sounds like this.

Deadmau5 at Red Rocks

The cube, the helmet, and Halloween weekend at the most famous outdoor stage in America — deadmau5 closes the Red Rocks season's biggest weekend with back-to-back nights. Saturday the 31st is the one that becomes legend; Friday is the same show with slightly saner logistics.

Whethan

For the EDM crowd that wants Halloween night loud and indoors, Whethan's Mission Ballroom show is RiNo's biggest room playing its biggest night. It's a five-minute walk from Bierstadt — expect half the crowd to be choosing between this and a costume contest, and some doing both.

Coloween 2026
Lafayette. Sat Oct 31, 9:00 PM–3:00 AM. 21+. From $79 all-in with open bar.

The suburban heavyweight: 19 years running, 1,200-person cap, open bar included, and a $1,000 costume contest inside a giant indoor amusement center. If your group wants maximum production and doesn't mind the drive, this is the polished end of Denver Halloween — listed honestly alongside our own party because a discovery page earns trust by showing the whole field.
