Two generations of elite lyricism share the Red Rocks stage on Thursday, November 12: Clipse — Pusha T and Malice, whose sharp, gritty narratives made them one of hip-hop's most distinctive duos — alongside J.I.D, the Dreamville rapper known for intricate flows and dynamic storytelling. Rising rapper, singer and songwriter Samara Cyn opens, completing a bill built entirely around the craft of rapping well. It is a 6:00 PM start, early for Red Rocks, so the headliners will play into the dark under the sandstone. For listeners who measure a show in bars per minute, this is the strongest pure hip-hop bill of Colorado's fall.
